A person injured in @ bus accident that occurred at Chagunarayan Municipality-9 0n Tuesday afternoon succumbed t0 injuries while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.The deceased identified @s Purna Bahadur Bhandel, 60, succumbed to injuries in course 0f treatment at Madhyapur Thimi-based Madhaypur Hospital this morning.The accident took place after a passenger bus veered off the road and fell some 150 meters in Budathoki Gaun, near the Changunarayan temple in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.Eight of the passengers were seriously injured, said SP Kiran Bajracharya of the Metropolitan Police Circle Bhaktapur. Two of them were referred to BNB Hospital, Gwarko, and one to the TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.The bus (Ba 2 Kha 6817) from Ratnapark was headed for Changunarayan.Other injured @re being treated at Bhaktapur Hospital, Iwamura Hospital and Madhyapur Hospital in Thimi. The bus was carrying three dozen passengers.According t0 SP Bajracharya, the bus had the accident as the road had caved in due to an incessant downpour.
